Spotted Dog Entertainment

Judy Pastore and Monica Bautista formed Spotted Dog Entertainment (SDE) after discovering a shared passion for entertainment – wherever it lives. Whether it is in print, on television, the Internet, mobile devices, you name it and they consume it. Born of that was a mutual desire to create, develop and produce high quality work that would have a lasting impact, no matter the platform. The mission is simple: Do great work that connects to the audience.

Toward that end, SDE assembles the best team for the job. Working with leading producers, directors and editors, we create noteworthy live events, specials, scripted, non-scripted and short-form programming. SDE’s partners have been involved with such high profile events as Madonna: Sticky and Sweet, Black Eyed Peas: The E.N.D. World Tour, Eddie Izzard: Live from Wembley and Lewis Black: Stark Raving Black, to name a few. Recently, SDE produced Nantucket Film Festival’s Comedy Roundtable presented by Ben Stiller with Jim Carrey, Chris Rock and Bill Hader for the premium channel EPIX and a 3-hour webcast for Comedy Central, featuring today’s best known comedians, at the legendary Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

Whether it is a live event, reality series, documentary or web series, our team delivers polished, creative and unique programming.

Judy Pastore – Partner
Executive Producer

Judy was first introduced to television comedy at the age of seven, while watching George Schlatter’s “Laugh In” with her family. The show usually got switched over to “Gunsmoke” as the humor got racy, but what she did see in those fleeting moments made her realize she wanted to work in comedy.

Today, with more than 25 years in the television industry, she has collaborated on the development and production of hundreds of movies, series, reality and talk shows, specials and events. She has worked extensively as a producer, creator and executive with major networks, premium cable channels and syndicators, including Showtime Networks, VH1, 20th Television, A&E, Disney and NBC.

Recently, Judy was brought on as consultant and executive producer for the launch of EPIX, the new premium cable channel from MGM, Paramount and Lionsgate. She was in charge of all live events and specials, as well as developing programming for the channel’s multiplatform offerings. She was responsible for specials with such top-level talent as Madonna, Kings of Leon, Black Eyed Peas, Lewis Black, Eddie Izzard, David Cross and Janeane Garofalo.

In the past, Judy executive produced “The Roseanne Show” and served as Vice President, Original Programming and Director of Specials and Events at Showtime Networks.

Judy holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Monica Bautista – Partner
Executive Producer

Monica got her first introduction to the world of television at around the same age as Judy, playing on the set of another George Schlatter production, “Real People.” Her aunt was one of the stars of the show, but it was what went on behind the scenes that caught Monica’s attention. It was fast-paced, hard work and terrifying, but at the end of the day it was the most fun she’d ever seen people have.

Since getting her own children off to school, Monica consulted with EPIX, the premium cable channel from MGM, Paramount and Lionsgate. Working closely with marketing, she created promotional materials in support of comedy and music specials from Madonna, Britney Spears, Louis C.K., Lewis Black and many others.

Prior to this, Monica was Executive Director, Corporate Communications for a $500M movie studio project in Massachusetts, backed by two former presidents of Paramount Studios. Integral to the team charged with branding the company both in the state and nationwide, she helped define the studio’s image. She worked closely with the CEO and president on numerous projects from executive speeches, multimedia presentations, writing and editing the studio magazine and a major research project on the impact of film production presented to the state government. In addition, she partnered with the head of the creative unit to define and develop the studio’s documentary project, production company and social media website.

Monica continues to work as a screenwriter and consultant on a variety of projects from company branding, marketing and promotions and web content development.

Monica holds a B.A. from UCLA’s School of Film and Television.
